Gardening Help Needed
The US Committee for Refugees & Immigrants in Erie has developed a program designed to orient immigrant farmers to agriculture in the United States. This program maintains garden plots in the Parade Street area, and the farmers are invited to sell their produce at the farmers market in Little Italy every Monday in the summer. They are currently seeking volunteers for Monday, August 30 and Monday, September 27 beginning at 9:00 A.M. Volunteers will be picking vegetables and helping prepare the day’s harvest for that day’s farmers market. If you are able to help or are interested in learning more, please contact Mary Ann Ramey at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Cathedral of St. Paul, together with St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, is committed to working with local organizations to advocate for systemic change within the city of Erie. We are actively building coalitions, developing relationships with other advocacy groups, and working with local government officials.
By listening to our community partners and other organizations in the city, we seek to meet needs in Erie – whether we are partnering to hold events, assisting with fundraisers, administering aid, we strive to support the mission of the community and the kingdom of God.
