For the Beauty of the Earth: Faithful Responses to Climate Change with Avery Davis Lamb of Creation Justice Ministries.

Join us for three events centered around faith and climate change from April 13-14.

Saturday, April 13: 10:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant (250 W 7th St.)
Scripture and Our Calling to Creation Justice
Ecumenical worship, followed by presentation; lunch provided with workshop on congregational models for creation justice
** To register for the Saturday morning event at First Presbyterian Church of the Covenant,  please email britney.knight@firstcovenanterie.org. For registration please include your name, if you plan to stay for lunch, and any dietary restrictions.

Saturday, April 13: 6:00 P.M. at the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul (134 W 7th St.)
Hospitality in a Time of Climate Change
Presentation with Q&A, reception with local climate care organizations

Sunday, April 14: 9:45A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Wayside Presbyterian Church (1208 Asbury Rd)
Plastic Jesus: Real Faith in a Synthetic World
Teaching Sunday School (9:45 A.M.) and preaching at worship (11:00 A.M.)

Avery Davis is a Co-Executive Director of Creation Justice Ministries. Avery has a background in both ecological research and faith-based environmental organizing, studying ecology in various ecosystems and organizing faith communities across the country in support of action on environmental justice. Avery has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Sustainability from Pepperdine University, Master of Environmental Management in Ecosystem Science & Conservation with a certificate in Community-Based Environmental Management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, and a Master of Theological Studies, with a certificate in Faith, Food & Environmental Justice from Duke Divinity School.
