Refugee Relief Concert at the Cathedral

“This wreath of words is what we have, and flowers of song all we can give. Singing sorry but singing tomorrow. Singing the song of life itself.”
These are the opening words of the choral, violin, and piano work, “Everyday Wonders: The Girl from Aleppo,” that is the centerpiece to a concert to raise funds for refugee relief in Erie. At a time when support for those seeking freedom and safety in America has been cut dramatically, the Cathedral Choir, professional musicians, and guest musicians come together offer all that we can give. Join us on Wednesday, July 30 at 7:00 P.M.
Through the song of both classical and multiculturally inspired works, come be inspired to relate to the experiences of others. The Cathedral is working in cooperation with USCRI, Catholic Charities and the Charter School of Excellence. A reception will follow the service. While the concert is free and open to the public, donations will be graciously accepted to benefit our Refugee community.
